Folks at Twitter past and present are strong and resilient. They will always find a way no matter how difficult the moment. I realize many are angry with me. I own the responsibility for why everyone is in this situation: I grew the company size too quickly. I apologize for that.
@EMPedsDoc@ronenlanda@Twitter There are a lot of people I want to hear from who are on here who aren’t on those other platforms (and probably wouldn’t migrate en masse to something new). Maybe that’s a reset we all need now? But also possible that we lose out on a ton of great ideas.
@EMPedsDoc@ronenlanda@Twitter I think you’re underestimating the worst case scenario. Yes there’s bad stuff here but on balance it’s not enough to push people off the platform. There’s a lot of crap that gets suppressed and if people are exposed to everything it will be unbearable.
@BeeBimBop@ccccccclarissa@Spotify To be clear though - it would be a travesty if they don’t find a way to work through this. This doesn’t seem like it should be that hard to address in some way.
@ccccccclarissa@BeeBimBop@Spotify I share the pain 😬. Frequent topic in hackweeks but frustrating nothing has come out. I don’t work in this space but I think some of the child protection regulations complicate this - launching a feature to exclude kids music implies kids are targeted in other contexts?
@tokumin Feels like a lot of the value is in the graph and that’s not valuable for TikTok style app. I’m dubious of his ability to reset. His successes have been with hard science type businesses and short form engagement does not follow those rules.
@BeeBimBop @JeremyABrowning @jessegenet Yes, but would need to be a LOT better😀 I've used variations on these outside outdoors and breakdowns/leaks seem pretty frequent.
