@RepMikeQuigley Accountable for what?
DC's continuous need to raise taxes to fund vote buying schemes?
Tell you what... I'll support your plan the moment all current members of Congress who have been in office longer than 10 years leave or are voted out.
@SenWarren Same question, different day.
Don't we already tax their revenues?
We don't tax chip manufacturers separately despite their using decades of academic research.
We don't tax pharma companies separately despite them using publicly funded research.
Why is this different?
@ewarren You shouldn't have to say it.
No elected official should financially benefit from markets over which they have direct influence.
Now... Make your bill apply to ALL members of the Federal government and I'll pay attention.
@SenWarren I'll bite:
Based on what metrics? What is the taxable unit?
"Tax AI" is a nice sound byte to comfort people afraid of what's next.
Sounds to me like a tacit admission that you think AI will increase unemployment and should provide UBI for the displaced.
@BernieSanders Your premise is wrong.
We don't have a national healthcare system.
We have local, regional and national healthcare companies.
Start with the wrong assumptions, end up with the wrong answer.
But you just keep swinging left. You'll just ensure Independents swing right.
@SenWarren With respect...
I can't stand either party, and think Trump is the worst President in history, but...
Isn't there some governing that needs to be done? I think voters would be more impressed by DOING SOMETHING than bitching on social media.
@SenWarren So...
I thought it was Government's role to help build infrastructure to facilitate private sector activity.
Those are some mighty thin hairs you're splitting.
@SenSanders Politicians: We drove up inflation too far! We need to increase minimum wage.
CEOs: ok... But now people are too expensive, so we need to burn capital on automation to save on continuing expenses.
Politicians: You irresponsible bastards!
@BernieSanders You forgot to adjust for the 43% cumulative inflation that MEMBERS OF CONGRESS created by continuing to print money like mad.
But thanks for the story.
@SenWarren Oh. Look. An emotionally charged statement without real information.
This. This is why I trust almost no one in DC. You all play the same stupid games.
@BoCamaro@trish_2me God expects us to love as he has loved, offer his grace, and obey.
No one deserves his love, but it should be freely shared. My $0.02... Look for the place that shows you that. They usually help you wrestle with faith and make you feel welcome.
@BoCamaro@trish_2me Romans 3:23 (NIV): "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 5:8 (NIV): "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Not every place is for everybody, but God never expects you to be worthy.
@BoCamaro@Heccles94 Agreed.
If you're going to tax unrealized capital gains, you have to give credits for unrealized losses. Which is just dumb because it's not real money in the first place.
@BoCamaro@Heccles94 I'd be curious what is INCOME is as opposed to WEALTH.
Quick Google... Avg nurse salary is 57.5K £. Top nominal tax rate of 22%. At 120k nurses, we're saying his income is 32.9B £.
Maybe that's right, but income and wealth are conveniently conflated in these conversations.
3. Heupel giving play calling to someone else. Golesh did it in '22. In '23, CJH took it back, and tempo slowed way down. I don't think that guy is Halzle, though.
People need to chill on the Fire Josh Heupel BS. Don't Fulmer this and deal with another 14 years of darkness.
Things I'd like to see before next season:
1. Tim Banks employed somewhere else.
2. A significant focus on defense, including portal recruiting. They need talent and depth on DL and in the secondary. Outgunning everyone isn't a viable strategy.
