Library and Information Centre for the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. Library news, views and musings from Fred the Skeleton and his acolyte, Phil.
We are sorry we had to close the library this week, but as you can see it was for a good reason and despite what it looks like, the library team are making progress and I’ve enjoyed standing by the doors explaining what’s going on @WestSuffolkNHS
New for WSHT Staff!

And so it begins! Estates and Portering have started to remove shelving and furniture ready for the installation of our new shelving on Monday, already the space looks bigger and the new, lower shelving will make a huge difference. Phil and I are so excited!
It’s finally arrived! We will be installing our new, mobile shelving from 7-14 October! Unfortunately this means the Library will be closed during this period but we will continue to respond to email queries as soon as we are able.
Laura has set out her stall at the 2022 Palliative Care Conference in Bury St Edmunds today, looks like a packed programme and lots of opportunities to talk about how NHS Libraries support all who deliver palliative services.
It’s #AlcoholAwarenessWeek and we have a display in the Library with lots of information and resources. The theme this year is alcohol and relationships as drinking can have a devastating effect not only on the drinker but also on colleagues, friends and family members
A #librarian cannot be: inherently good, virtuous, right or neutral (nothing can)
A #librarian can be: ethical, reflective, accountable and evidence-based.
Looking forward to speaking with @DrDavidMcMenemy on #library ethics tomorrow
