@Mikehomeseller People that don’t like it wanted them to sound the same as before. Call it prog-pop if you want, but it’s a great album on its own terms.

I think a lot of prog fans basically want to only like music that they and a handful of “sophisticated” friends can understand.

@Mikehomeseller Peter and Phil, who have to be ranked about the same anyway, are my two favorites. I’ll choose Wetton for my third. No criticism of Jon Anderson, but I feel like he has one gimmick (the particular range he is in) that he plays very well, but without too much variation.

@METAVERZUZ I really like Paul McCartney’s voice, but I’ll also mention Bowie, whom I pair with Freddy Mercury as my top two voices for roughly that era (regardless of whose records I actually like better).
