We had to say goodbye to one of our prospective K9’s today. K9 Lily had tons of energy and was fun to work with but didn’t quite have what it takes to be one of our Explosive Detection K9’s. She will be returned to our vendor and rehoused from there. She will be missed!

#YourWSP started an Explosives Detection K9 class last week. The new handlers begin with basic skills absent the K9’s in order to learn the correct positioning and motions when conducting searches. Stay tuned to see our K9 candidates over the next few weeks!

Colman Dock wildlife assist: Sgt. Leary helped @wsferries staff with a raccoon stuck in the garbage dumpster.  They were able to provide an improvised ladder for the raccoon to climb out of the dumpster and be on their way!

Our crews are trained to see when things are out of the ordinary & that training helped a child today. Shortly after an Amber Alert was issued, a sharp-eyed crew member on the #Issaquah noticed that a pair that matched the description of the child& suspect walked on in #Bremerton
