We concluded our 2024-2025 debate season this week by attending the 79th Annual National Debate Tournament in Spokane,Washington.

Marianne Griffith and Miguel Molina Chavez ended prelims with a record of 4-4, just one win short of making eliminations!

We had two teams compete at the D3 qualifiers this weekend and left with an NDT qualification!!

Molina-Chavez and Griffith went 5-3 and punched their ticket to the NDT! McManus and Wentling were able to participate in the runoff debates.

Wichita MW wins the Missouri State tournament in the open division!!!!

Wichita GM byed through quarters and made it to semis. They lost to our friends from K-state, placing 3rd overall!!!

Devon and Marianne drop in Round 10 on a 2-1 decision, ending their incredible four-year careers here at Maize High. Marianne will be debating at Wichita State University next year. Devon will be attending Georgetown University. We are excited to see what their futures hold!

This is the first time in the Babcii’s career making it to Monday of the National Debate Tournament!!!
