On this day in 2003 I received a life-saving bone marrow transplant, and my sister @erinrouxx was the donor!
Today I'm celebrating by continuing to raise money for @LLSusa's #LLSVISIONARIES campaign. 🎗

Thrilled to announce I'm a candidate for @LLS_IL's 2024 Visionary of the Year Campaign! As a leukemia survivor, I'm excited to share my story to help raise money to fight blood cancer from April 5 to June 15. ⬇️ One month until we kick off fundraising, and I can't wait. 🎗

Wow. This is a generation that has had enough of gun violence. But you aren’t seeing any of this on cable news today. So, let’s all take a moment & thank these young people for refusing to accept gun violence as normal. Please share far & wide.
Gabby Petito would probably be alive today if the police were trained to spot the warning signs of domestic violence.
Instead, they predictably blamed her and wrote it off as nothing. We need better training for police or trained DV professionals accompanying them on calls.
While today’s terrible display of terror and meanness shakes us, let’s remember: @ossoff, Jewish son of an immigrant & @ReverendWarnock, first Black Senator from Georgia, will join a Catholic POTUS & the first woman, Black + Indian VP in our nation’s capital. God bless America.
