Adding my sense to all the other sense out there. Reader beware. No personal offense meant. Not all RTs are endorsements. FDIC insured. Is this thing on?
To those who say, "Iran has the right to defend itself": an Iranian woman explaining how the Islamic Republic doesn't represent her or people she knows.

@canuckThrasher@amelia_tweetz I'm saying a bigger population means wealth distribution among a bigger and much more diverse and sparse population is more difficult than a smaller more homogenous population. I still think the argument holds up even with the wealth scaling faster bit.
@borkedsys I might be wrong, but I believe a key part of socialist philosophy is saying that humans have no nature and can thus just be molded to do whatever a society decides for itself, rather than adhere to some nature that we all share.
@borkedsys I just say it fits human nature better than socialism. People collaborate in groups all the time. Respecting private property rights and individual right is one way that groups of people can collaborate.
@pnewman51 Both are capitalism in USA. Insurance companies also accept claims, and fire departments also have houses burn down despite their efforts, if any (like arriving too late).
@MoiraRogow@Oilfield_Rando I don't know how often they have these rides, hopefully it's not too often and the route and times of the event are made clear, so no surprises happen, and if needed an ambush can occur to take care of the deviants. :D
@MoiraRogow@Oilfield_Rando True. One day bike ride events isn't much of a departure from upholding basic decency laws though. I don't understand them either, but they obviously have a crowd. I think the prude reaction is the type of reaction that makes it grow though.
This is one of the best illustrations of what socialism (in any form) does to the poor. It promises a ladder of programs & benefits but can’t lift people out of poverty. No country on earth has made the poor better off under socialist governments.
@ronsterd89 How about neither are to blame for my suffering? People blamed the gods, Roman, Greek, pagan, monotheistic, whatever for their suffering, but blaming fellow humans on faulty indirect logic is just as superstitious.
@ObsceneSelene@cb_doge It's also easy to talk about the future of money when you have none of it. I don't think the possession of money is the determining factor.
@DissonanceCoder@DeTocqueville14 Yea, my mistake is a "perceived" threat, obviously it is aggression, the threat needs to be perceived by more than just your own individual self, needs to be apparent.
Yea, "perceived threat" and killing the threat is a strong response, even if it is an unborn child (or a capitalist being killed by a communist). Maybe abortion is a violation and I just don't see it as such for some reason I can't articulate yet (or just don't to admit it is). Murder can still be wrong morally and still self-defense legally. There's a few murders that have resulted in self-defense acquittals.
