That’s an interesting theory, I’ll look more into tonight.
I’ve also always wondered how, in a universe with ever increasing entropy, life formed. The human body is damn near the lowest entropy, most highly organized thing in the universe. How could that be possible if the 2nd law of thermodynamics holds?
If you want to trade ideas, feel free to check out this article and let me know what you think.
@StuartHameroff Stuart, could you do me a solid and read this and let me know what you think? It’s an idea I’ve been pondering for about a year and just getting around to attempting to communicate.
For the first few months, your wife will inevitably do most of the hard work taking care of your son, especially if breastfeeding so it’ll be your job to take complete care of your wife. Take on every non-baby-related chore you can manage to keep her cortisol low. Cook, clean, massages, encouraging naps, baths, etc.
Best of luck to you and your wife. Also do some research about when to expect the biggest hormone fluctuations - apparently when my wife stopped breastfeeding, her hormones dropped off a cliff and we both had no idea that would happen. Will be good to anticipate those times and know what to expect.
Best of luck, my friend. You’re in for a journey of a lifetime
And according to @StuartHameroff, there are systems of entangled coherent quantum systems in the microtubules of our brains.
If our consciousness/soul could SELECT the outcome of those coherent quantum systems in our microtubules, that could cascade and amplify in our brains to create our actions.
1. Microtubules create coherent quantum systems in the brain.
2. Our consciousness selects the outcome of those coherent quantum systems and they collapse as directed by our consciousness.
3. Free will is preserved. Consciousness gives commands to the brain and body by deciding how to collapse coheren microtubule systems.
We’re just a meat suit that’s designed to amplify infinitesimally small wavefunctions collapse outcomes, made by our soul, into macroscopic effects.
People often say that science and religion are incompatible. However, there are 2 undisputed FACTS about science that give plenty of room for religion to coexist.
1. The final outcome or state of a coherent quantum system is, in advance, fundamentally unknowable in practice and in principle. Quantum mechanics and the Schrödinger equation can give only probability distributions of all possible outcomes, but collapse outcomes simply cannot be predicted with certainty in advance of measurement.
2. According to 1000s of experiments proving the violation of Bell’s inequality tells us that the final outcome of those quantum system ARE NOT EVEN PRE-DEFINED BEFORE COLLAPSE. The quantum system itself has been show to not even have a predefined outcome, until the moment of collapse.
If our universe is a simulation, someone with an “admin login” could easily select the outcomes of countless quantum systems (instead of collapsed states being random) and make miracles look trivial.
@TeslaBoomerMama For me, it’s fear from not controlling my car. I frequently drive with my wife and 8 month old son, and the thought of having the car drive for me is terrifying.
I’ve had a model 3 for about 3 years now and still haven’t tried FSD. I believe in it, but can’t bring myself to use
Sam Altman is Hitler in 1941.
Overconfident after early blitzkrieg victories. Biting off more than he can chew on multiple fronts. Badly overextended. Classic hubris.
On hardware:
Sam has zero experience with hardware. He dropped billions on Jony Ive but Jony is just a designer. He doesn't do logistics. He doesn't build factories. He doesn't know how to scale production.
Apple had been making hardware for decades when Jony came in and designed the iPod and iPhone. What has Sam made? An app? Why should this convince investors he can make hardware?
At best, the hardware will be vaporware.
At worst, it's a lethal overextension.
On infrastructure:
Stargate is a flop. His announcement today that they have a contract with Oracle for 4.5gw screams "We have no capability to integrate"
Google and Meta have data centers already. Zucc doesn't have to go smooth talk a Saudi for funding. He already got it like that. Meanwhile Altman is going around begging for trillions like some pauper. Embarrassing.
Elon publicly called it underfunded bullshit.
How's the underlying business? Well it's bleeding money. Prices were jacked up to pay for the compute. He's got a dozen lawsuits. Nonstop whistleblowers.
On staff:
Everyone is leaving. Retention is a nightmare. Employee equity is all tied up to some fugazi nonprofit scheme, honestly who knows what the fuck is going on there.
So he's waging a two-front war (hardware/infra) while hemorrhaging talent.
His generals like Ilya and Leike walked even before 100m TC was on the table. Now his officers are defecting. Next will be the janitors.
You can build all the castles you want, if your garrison deserts it's a wrap. Stargate is a just another fuel starved Panzer on the frontlines.
So what does Altman say?
Utopian bullshit. Universal basic compute. Universal basic income. Promising the dream to keep you on board. Everybody is gonna get the best healthcare. You'll all live forever. We'll cure whatever your least favorite disease is.
This is the mark of a huckster.
He is selling you the Wunderwaffe. The wonder weapon. The clincher. The panacea. The thing that will keep your parents from dying. The technology that will save your babies. The monkey's paw. The fountain of youth. The magic bullet.
Meanwhile OpenAI is exhausted, spread thin on multiple fronts. Zucc is closing in on him like Stalin. Google is blasting him. The Chinese are killing him on opensource. His officers are routing and switching sides.
The company isn't expected to be cash-flow positive for years.
It's over. He's doing too much.
His only way out is to stop fighting two fronts with borrowed ammo or start making some allies fast.
@FBIDirectorKash You will never deflect us from Epstein. That is not to say that you haven’t done a good job in other areas, but mark my words, this will stain you and this entire administration forever if you don’t fix this asap.
After two incredible years, I’ve decided to step down as CEO of 𝕏.
When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company. I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.
I’m incredibly proud of the X team - the historic business turn around we have accomplished together has been nothing short of remarkable.
We started with the critical early work necessary to prioritize the safety of our users—especially children, and to restore advertiser confidence. This team has worked relentlessly from groundbreaking innovations like Community Notes, and, soon, X Money to bringing the most iconic voices and content to the platform. Now, the best is yet to come as X enters a new chapter with @xai .
X is truly a digital town square for all voices and the world’s most powerful culture signal. We couldn’t have achieved that without the support of our users, business partners, and the most innovative team in the world.
I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue to change the world.
As always, I’ll see you on 𝕏
