Yes a garden does, but it has to have a focal point, it could be a fountain, or statue of elon or somebody else, but it does need a focal point otherwise its just a patch of grass with some flowers and trees.

Also it will have to be inside initially, as how long will it take to terraform mars so that its air is suitable for humans to live without having to wear spacesuits and breathe pure oxygen ? Decades, centuries, millennia ?

Also, will plants and tree’s grow normally in weightlessness, as I’ve seen stuff that showed that some plants get messed up in a weightless environment.

I’m sure data from mir, iss, and all the other space stations that came before them will come in handy regarding what can and can’t grow normally in space, on the moon or mars.

I disagree, building a cathedral would be a waste, church numbers get lower and lower every year, building a cathedral on the moon or mars or anywhere would end up not getting used. I’m all for cathedrals, but would folk use them and is it viable cost wise as we might need to transport the building material from earth which would cost billions.
