West Texas Robotics competed for the 2nd year in a row in the UIL Robotics State Competition -
@BESTRobotics
- Division on Saturday, December 5th. Team 0176 once again shows their strength in competition and success as a group of amazing students!
WT Steam appreciates the support of the Rural Technology Fund @RuralTechFund for our students. With 5 state robotics appearances in 3 years, this support extends much needed technology to the younger students in the program. Thank you again!
@t3chl0gic @MatterHackers@SabinePassISD@TCEA Whoa, what printer is that? Looking for a great 3D printer for the least amount of money.... and ideas are appreciated.
Can't wait to see this 3D car completed. Mark and his amazing efforts have inspired many of my students to ask what we can 3D print! Great teaching and effort reaches much further than just your students!
@t3chl0gic @pspcisd@MatterHackers@TCEA Mark, thank you for including us in this project. The frog was known to me AFTER it was already sent haha (students eh). We just heard word a local business is purchasing us a new 3D printer as well! Anxious to see this car completed! Many thanks for your hard work on this!

As a 2nd year team, @pspcisd West Texas High School Robotics did an amazing job this past weekend making it to the Wildcard round. With the struggles came learning and perseverance, and I'm blessed to have such amazing students. Can't wait to see them tackle their next challenge
@MacThornberry , We wrote to your office a few weeks ago and we look forward to competing in this contest next year. Students want the challenge of creating applications for use in the world, and your sponsorship of the @CongressionalAC would bring TX-HD13 to the table. Thanks!
@JoeMarquez70@jmattmiller@DarrinCarnahan @FZSBaldwin @DonWettrick Absolutely - I challenge students to use the "new" technology in a way which teaches a principal of my class to them. Ex : Today, you're going to create a snapchat video, but you have to teach someone how to calculate miles per gallon. Want to rap, cool, dance? tag me in it! ha
@jmattmiller @FZSBaldwin @DarrinCarnahan Absolutely. I believe my background in sales (14 years prior to teaching, 3rd year teaching) is a definite benefit in the classroom. The product I "sell" is -self learning- and there's no technology which can replace my passion during a lecture.
