As a club, the whole of Wakefield Trinity would like to pass on our thoughts and condolences to his wife, family and friends during this time and join the Rugby League family in saying he will be dearly missed.

Wakefield Trinity would like to pass on their condolences to the family and friends of legendary player Geoff Oakes who has sadly passed away over the weekend at the age of 88.

Geoff was a huge part of Wakefield's Challenge Cup winning sides of 1960 and 1962. Even after his playing career, Geoff has stayed close to the Wakefield Trinity family enjoying time with friends at our Community Foundation events.

He will be very sadly missed by everyone here at the club. 🔴⚪️🔵
