@Zhane_Star whites have PLENTY of spaces where we are accepted as-is. there shouldnt be this dynamic where allies try to be one of the "good ones", thats not the goal at all and its destructive if anything
@Zhane_Star i just want to say, i agree with you here, but i wish nobody needed to say something like "i dont hate all whites." allyship is a one-way interaction, its NOT a transaction. not specifically targeted at your post just a sentiment i wanted to share.
"where's the black yuri?"
"where's the black transfemme art?"
"where's the black fighting games"
"where's the black superhero comics?"
some of the greatest prospective writers of our generation are driving lyfts and ubers for healthcare money rn
@underdejahvu Very true. Afroleftism is like a minor afterthought to most leftists. Some of the most successful leftist movements and most prolific leftist thinkers started under slavery and colonial rule. People treat leftism as if it's some unified movement like no it's whitewashed as hell
@elfe_art I don't see previous hateful art by you, so I hope you find a way to convince people of this claim. Maybe amend this piece to show it was accidental. If it turns out this was an attempt at hateful art then that's unfortunate.
@Kanacake2525 I don't see any evidence that this was made in bad faith. This artist has not made a single piece in the past that was hateful in this manner that I could find. I'm going to assume they made a naive mistake and nothing more until or unless more evidence comes out.
@true0bIue Discussing the male gaze is funny because like you said, at face value it just makes men's voices louder. It has a reverse effect if all we think about is whether media appeals to it or not. All the more reason why unconstructive critique with it is weirdly pervasive.
@true0bIue Theres people that look down on anything that doesnt challenge the patriarchy (some gl is guilty of this). Most media is guilty of it so thats nothing against gl in particular. Gender studies is an important subject but the knowledge it grants is sometimes used unconstructively
@sapphicfood I hope that when same sex marriage is legalized in Japan Tamifull returns for a final farewell chapter or even just a tribute artwork of them. It's sad it has to wait but I have faith that soon it will happen despite everything.
@cumilq Your openness and honesty about this devastating reality you're experiencing is forcing people to confront their content-consumption-fueled bystanderism, which is the last thing they want to do. It makes sense they would talk about anything besides the reality at hand. Sending ❤️
@BananaBarriot@javafefe I think its only painful at face value. Lots of painful moments happen but the story shows how these characters would not have found true happiness if not for the painful missteps they took along the way. The story is a love letter to the good and bad of relationships in general.
@NtshepyK It's unimaginable how tormented and alone she must have felt. I hope the circumstances around her death are fully investigated so she can be brought to justice even if it comes far later than it should have. #JusticeForTshepi
@Imaginethatfate Not so fun fact, Chipotle doesn't usually let you tip employees if you order in person, there's instead a jar where they take a cut of your leftover change or "donations" if any. You are able to tip them if it's online. Something's up with that
@Akivalentinn Transitioning doesn't inherently have anything to do with passing and completing your transition is completely arbitrary. Its you achieving your internal self externally and feeling happy with that expression. That looks different for every person and it IS beautiful.
