*MISSING INITIATE*

The Theunissen Police is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Andile Petrus Zungulwa, a 20-year-old initiate who has been missing since Saturday, 28 June 2025.

Andile's aunt arrived at the Theunissen police station on 3 July 2025, to report him missing from a local initiation school. It is alleged that on Friday, 27 June 2025, a group of males attacked initiates and teachers at the school. During the attack, a visitor was stabbed and subsequently hospitalized. Upon witnessing the stabbing, the initiates fled the scene for their safety.

While most initiates later regrouped and returned, Andile Petrus Zungulwa was discovered missing the following morning, 28 June 2025. Andile was last seen wearing a blue blanket.

Theunissen Police joined by Vala Umgodi combat and proactive teams launched a search for the missing Andile. Anyone with information regarding Andile Petrus Zungulwa's whereabouts is urged to contact Theunissen Detective Sergeant Beoane at 083 411 0240. Alternatively, you can call the SAPS crime stop line at 08600 10111.

@Eskom_SA Nah, we see the pattern now! This is loadshedding disguised as “technical faults”. U rotate the 3days blackouts around Soweto to subsidise power for the rest of JHB that doesn’t experience load reduction. I’m so glad my gran is staying with me for winter, I knew this will happen
