@TomAandTom1 Hereβs a discussion about pushing in the other direction (warm/yellow) in Backrooms.
The advantage of doing it practically with lighting and set design is to preserve natural skin tones.
@derutablam Yes. I spoke with Backrooms DP Jeremy Cox this morning and they actually experimented with shooting a standard white office but pushing warm. Ultimately to keep actors more natural with skin tones they did the yellow wallpaper etc.
I have a question about CD13.
Both Dylan Kendall and Rich Sarian, in the HAC debate and in interviews with YIMBY LA, said there isnβt much R1 in CD13. Is this true?
Weβd assumed that Hugo Soto-Martinez buckled under pressure from Hancock Park to vote against the CHIP amendment.
Great to see Katy endorsing dense towers on Wilshire, but...
She voted against adding even some single-fam areas behind Wilshire/a new heavy rail line from dense development on our housing plan CHIP. Heck, her vote blocked even minor density (like 3-story apts) in yellow areas:
@Ragcha@_lej44@tobyhardtospell In December 2024, City Council voted on an amendment to the Cityβs CHIP ordinance that wouldβve effectively upzoned single family areas. The amendment failed.
No votes to LA residents: βYouβll rent a loud arterial apartment or buy a 1 mil+ SFH on a side street and like itβ
Memorize the names next to the No votes - these are the people *literally* responsible for your continued unaffordable cost of housing until the next RNHA cycle.
