@aspiringpeasant I have no idea how to solve these problems… but it seems kind of obvious to ask cops before/at the academy if they’d risk their lives to protect others? If they say yes shouldn’t they be held responsible if they fail in that duty?
@aspiringpeasant I agree with that, and also feel there is a community aspect to this problem. I live in an area (PNW City) where police response is unreliable at best. Fighting back would hopefully deter any future attempts at neighbors or I. I'm guessing word spreads which areas are easy, etc.
Rich people in LA often hired professional dog walkers to keep their pets exercised. Many otherwise useless teachers could be repurposed as professional kid walkers.
