@KenyaPower_Care Hi, for the past 2 weeks we have been calling your ofiices but no assistance has been forthcoming. I have more than 10 reference numbers. I am from Sunton in Kasarani where lights have been flickering on and off for the past 2 weeks.
@KenyaPower_Care Which heights are you scaling when people have been calling you for the past 2 weeks to come fix the lights issue in Sunton, Kasarani and you have done absolutely nothing.
I was in line at the pharmacy. The woman in front of me was elderly, leaning on a cane. The pharmacist rang up her meds. "That will be $185," he said. She froze. She opened her purse and counted. "I… I only have $40. Can I just take the heart pills and leave the pain medication?" "It's a package script, ma'am. I can't split it." She started to cry, quietly. "Okay. I'll just… I'll come back." She turned to leave. I stepped up. "Excuse me," I said to the pharmacist. "Check her file again. I think she has that… uh… 'Senior Gold' discount." The pharmacist looked at me. He looked at the woman. He looked at my credit card already in the machine. "Right," he said, catching on. "My mistake. The computer glitched. With the discount, the total is… $0.00." The woman looked confused. "Are you sure?" "Positive," the pharmacist said. "Have a nice day, ma'am." She walked out, relieved. I paid the $185. I’m broke until payday now. I’ll be eating ramen for a week. But I can walk without pain. She couldn't. It was a fair trade.

This week, we found out that our country is spending 95% of every single shilling it earns on debt service, which is indicative of a financial bankruptcy.
As bad as this sounds, it is not our worst problem. Our worst problem is the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of Ruto's Government of Thieves, by Thieves, and for Thieves.
Consider the following takes on the cancer of corruption and its impact on the average citizen, as you try to make sense of the preposterous notion that we are knocking on the door to becoming Singapore.
Lee Kuan Yew (The Father of Singapore):
“Corruption is the deadliest cancer in any society. It doesn’t serve justice, it only serves those who can pay. Fairness disappears, opportunities vanish, and the country becomes hostage to a small group of oligarchs while millions of talented citizens are left behind, unseen, unheard. Many leave, forced to seek their future elsewhere, and in that quiet exodus, the nation loses what matters most—not just people, but the very minds that could have shaped its future.”
@JohnMbadiN - Kenya's CS for Treasury:
We better allow those who have this illicit money, to invest it here. If we fail (to defeat corruption), then allow it. We will tell people that, we will look for you, somehow, BUT IF YOU ESCAPE, JUST PUT IT HERE. WE WILL NOT FOLLOW YOU.
IF YOU ESCAPE WITH THE NG'OMBE, TUTA KURUHUSU UCHINJE. NA SISI SOTE TUKULE.
The snake-oil salesmen and women selling you the fallacy of Kenya becoming Singapore in the next few years don't know a damn thing about WHAT SINGAPORE DID TO BECOME SINGAPORE.
And, in any decent government, @JohnMbadiN would be fired on the spot. No self-respecting government would entertain such a stupid position when it is losing 25% of its annual budget to thieves.
But the key word here is, "self-respecting".
This government has been accused of many things. But none of those things is being "self-respecting".
I’ve just watched a disturbing report on NTV from Tana River.
And I am deeply shaken tonight.
A pregnant woman was bitten by a snake, believed to be a cobra or black mamba. (image of the snake below)
She was moved from hospital to hospital, where she was turned away due to a lack of antivenom
She finally reached Hola Referral(the largest government hospital in the county), and there, too, was no anti-venom.
Both she and the unborn child passed away.
And you see some people shout TUTAM & push hashtags here on X.
In present-day Kenya, no govt hospital should lack a basic life-saving drug.
No pregnant woman should die from a snake bite.
No one should die from snake bites
While government officials push hashtags about "fixing healthcare," the reality in our counties tells a different story.
This pain is unnecessary.
This loss was preventable.
Kenya deserves better.
A Kenyan lady was left in shock after losing money from her M-Pesa and M-Shwari accounts following the loss of her phone. She is now calling out Safaricom, saying she cannot understand how someone was able to withdraw her money without the M-Pesa PIN.

A beautiful and fitting tribute. Hearing our Patron's favourite lines echoed back to him is powerful.
Thank you Ila Niam for the tribute.

We are deeply honored by our neighbours from Tanzania for this gracious tribute to our Patron, Raila Odinga.
Our Shujaa, Rest In Peace.

Since BABA has been put in the ground let me start here.
It was very embarrassing for some speakers to fall over themselves praising Ruto for Raila’s State funeral.
First things, he deserved it. It wasn’t a favor.
Thing 2, Raila would have been buried by his people even without Ruto’s support. In fact the function would have been way better. The people would have provided security themselves (how many times did the people volunteer to be Baba’s security in the wake of State excesses?).
It was so sad seeing our people frogmarched, made to peek and run in the name of “public viewing.”
No lights tangu juzi na wenye wako na stima wanaimba inawaka inanizima. Can you please helps us out. Kasarani Sunton ama ni Sunton Kasarani. Kwa mafuta.
I will forever remain radical because of this and others.
Siloma told us one thing. Don't lose hope. Give final respect to my brother by continuing to fight and ousting Ruto. That's why we are this radical. They murdered most of us last year.
