AMERICAN PARATROOPERS IN ST-MERE-EGLISE 🇺🇸

The town of St-Mere-Eglise, was a crucial objective for the American 82nd Airborne Division on DDay.

The paratroopers you can see in this picture are walking in the middle of the town on what was the former National 13 in 1944.

In October 2023, WWII medic Gene Kleindl, aged 101, visited the grave of his comrade Ralph E. Gaddis killed in Normandy on June 12, 1944. Ralph E. Gaddis is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery.
