Before we get any further into 2026, I would like to formally introduce myself.
My name is Phil, I'm a 28 year old investor who sells options and occasionally swing trade when it makes sense.

For my first post, Iโm sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

POWELL: I WILL BE STAYING ON THE FED AS GOVERNOR AFTER MY TERM AS CHAIR IS DONE
when asked why he's not retiring, Powell said he was going to but the DOJ investigation left him "no choice but to see things through" and stay on
basically a middle finger to Trump
@WWBNick threw me a couple tickers to chart and got straight to it.
$GLXY coming up on a s/r flip at around $27, while the 200SMA lies right at $27 this gives me confidence a pop in price could occur if it can break and hold above the 200SMA and DTL.

You could have:
Closed early for a loss and let stock run if you were convinced that would happen.
You could have already rolled to a different strike and date so you can capture more upside.
You could have used the premiums to buy a leaps.
You could just let the shares get called away and wipe your fake tears with the profit.
Letโs be real. Only reason we sell calls in he first place is bc we donโt believe said stock is going on a heater.
Also, if you had not sold the calls, would you be selling shares right here? Probably not.
Then what do you tell yourself when you ride the stock all the way back down? Do you post the downside of owning shares and not selling at the top?
In other words, there is no crying in the casino.
@CarsonTalkMoney I was just talking about this today with some family. The headaches rental units can and will bring are insane. plus better opportunity in the stock market imo.
Closed this today for 32% and sold the 4/17 125C when $NBIS flipped green, and closed the 125C today aswell for 25% in 3 hours! This was a no brainer closing both of these as fast as I did given the % collected in the amount of time the contract was open.
Took advantage of the huge green day and sold a covered call yesterday on $NBIS
Sold the 4/17 120C
The beauty of selling options is being able to play both sides by selling calls in this type of market but also still bullish enough to sell puts at your desired strike price
