basic markets rule
learn it the easy way (now) vs hard way (future)
never recommend stocks to friends or family.
if the stock goes up, it was their idea.
if the stock goes down, it was YOUR idea.
100% lose-lose situation.
always answer "go buy SPY," and then keep it moving.
It’s taken me two full days to respond to all my texts. I hadn’t been on social media until today and I’m overwhelmed by all the messages here too. So much love.
So I can’t help but to be filled completely with gratitude…
My story has been nothing short of remarkable and I am truly blessed to have had such an illustrious, accolade-laden and, most importantly, fun-filled career. I made my childhood dream become the most wonderful reality.
Throughout this journey, I’m so thankful to have been surrounded by great friends and to have built so many unbreakable connections with people that I’m very proud to call my family.
Most people go through life without ever experiencing a love like I have for Woods and E. That bond alone would have made this whole experience worth it.
There are far too many people to mention by name here, but to everyone who has ever supported me, guided me, helped me, taught me, cheered for me, praised me, stood up for me, and even rooted against me: Thank you. I appreciate you more than words can say.
My main mission has always been a simple one: To provide a comfortable life filled with heartwarming memories for my family. And, largely in part to all of you, I can proudly say that I have achieved that goal and more.
This wasn’t supposed to be a novel, so let me wind it down with some advice:
Do your best to live a life without regrets, control what you can control, always give it your all, and fight hard for what you believe in.
Do not ever compromise or accept less than your due when it comes to your worth.
Find the courage to believe in yourself and fearlessly pursue your goals and dreams, because anything is possible.
The kid that was too small, short, skinny, and scrawny was never supposed to make it in this land of giants…yet here we are.
And so…
…as the sun sets on one chapter, so too must it rise in another. Tomorrow is indeed…a New Day. ☀️
🚨JUST IN: Dana White on his experience being at the White House during the shooting:
"I didn't get down, it was fucking awesome. I literally took every minute of it in. It was a pretty crazy, unique experience."

"The Unlikely Road to Happily Ever After"
I see a lot of people in their 20s + 30s, putting themselves under immense pressure to “get it right.”
it is very hard to tell what is the correct path, or if it even exists, at that age.
I will lay out what I see in hopes of easing your mind, I think it would've eased mine at the time.
1/6
on stressing over future marriage/divorce/kids, in the majority of biographies u read, u tend to see people go through two, or three, or even four partners in their lifetime
the idea of, "I’m just gonna get it right and that’s my happily ever after life," is probably unrealistic and puts an unreasonable amount of pressure on urself.
it would be amazing if things always worked out but the future is unknowable, people change, circumstances change, and to think that someone at 25 has the wisdom or foresight to estimate what 40 will be like, is just not a superpower we have ever been blessed with
2/6
at 25 you still carry the illusion that u can just sculpt the next 15 years as u see fit
in reality we inhabit the kingdom of chance and error and gale force winds. circumstances and humans change on a whim, u wake up and ur 26 and u realize absolutely nothing has gone as u wanted it to so far.
u will win the powerball before ur 2040 forecast proves even half right
have to just stay open to the universal random number generator that we inhabit. oh, u had plans to fly to Barcelona? thats nice, a guy ate a bat in China and now every airport on the planet is closed, so now u are in the American Barcelona, the posh beach resort town of Corpus Christi, Texas.
3/6
who do I know that is happy? honestly, its hard to say, nor is there any correlation to anything.
at age 39, I have ppl everywhere: single, married, married w/ kids, divorced, divorced and remarried.
Hilariously, if u asked me who seems the happiest, its divorced + remarried, which is absolutely not the outcome u would ever plan for, which is probably why it happens that way.
Pain is the world's best teacher, a divorce is as painful as life gets, and what u learn in the process probably leads to u ensuring that the next person u pick, is a perfect partner. So logically, that all checks out to me.
Does this help you? Absolutely not lol. Its the one path that isnt an actual option.
At the same time this somehow best represents the winding maze of life and how shit works, then doesn't work, then re-works even better, until it doesn't, and u sort of get tossed around
So take that for what u will.
4/6
As for the rest, who knows. People who are divorced or single are pretty open about if they're happy or sad.
Married ppl, u never know... u think things are going well and then u find out they've both been "getting their loving on the run," divorce, warfare, and so on.
Some ppl get divorced and lose all interest in getting married ever again after that. My barber is going through it and his view is, "I can't take pain like this ever again." Less the divorce per se, than the marriage not working out, a lot of times you see a weight off someone's shoulders once they confirm it's over.
You'll get strong opinions on "should ppl stay together." There's no right answer, you definitely see situations where the kids ended up much better off, two healthy households, two positives, versus one house full of hatred.
5/6
Ask anyone who was a child of divorce, you'll get mixed reviews, some say they were sad, some said "thank God the fighting is over." But none of this is black and white, nothing is, and anyone painting this realm of life in absolutes has ulterior motives
Again, nothing in human nature, nothing in human affairs, is ever black and white. That should be your first indicator that someone an angle.
The rest, some are happy, some are miserable. I don't think u will get a true answer on this, nor does one even exist...u can keep asking around if u want but u are searching for objective reality where there is none.
6/6
the best answer: no one else's situation applies to you. you are you. you are no one else. why would u have a stranger on the internet, who may be the opposite of you, tell u to do what he's doing and then follow him?
you will be happiest through trial and error, which is the only way u figure out who YOU are and what works for YOU.
and then looking into the future, look at people you know and their relationship with their own parents. this is the reality of how families turn out. we all see the same things despite being in different parts of the world
END
have I ever known a "happily ever after" family, briefly a few times, only to see it followed by something brutal like divorce or alcoholism or drug use, and then they joined the rest of us in realityland.
the range of outcomes on relationships with parents is wide. it can go great (allegedly), it can go horribly wrong, u see kids cutting their parents off, u hear people say "I'm not sure my parents really wanted me," life is messy and family is messy.
I bring this up to help manage expectations of, I'm gonna just do this all perfectly and have the perfect family forever. Look around you and the odds you see are probably your odds, because nothing changes in matters like this.
So...I am one of 8 billion people. You can go and ask all 8 billion to give u their same assessment, and I promise, at the end of it u will not be any better off lol. If anything you'll be more confused.
The path forward becomes clear only through fucking up, taking risks, failing, falling in love, failing, just getting ur ass kicked over and over, until u wake up and suddenly u see all the paths crystal clear.
The answers are there, not on Twitter. Touch grass, take risk, fall in love, and expect that absolutely nothing will go the way you planned, because while we may throw the dice, God decides where they land.
buen suerte 😎
FIRE is terrible. Don’t waste your 20s and 30s saving every single penny and never having any experiences.
Foster relationships now. Go out on dates. Go on road trips and camp outs. Try out a cruise, you may even enjoy it. Go have experiences with friends.
My oldest brother that I talk to frequently is a surgeon, believe me, there are no guarantees in life. You have no clue how your health will hold up over time.
It’s crazy to me that a group of people will throw away their 20s and 30s in hope that there’s some magical happy point in their 40s. It’s very misguided.
New all-time high for Amazon. The early days of Jassy proving the haters wrong have started.
AWS acceleration, massive chip business, millions of robots in factories, satellite internet, addictive online shopping, huge advertising business, and a Netflix-sized streaming service.
I've never studied a company with more optionality than Amazon. It's unparalleled.
