@KCapLiteracy I am still new to Jamboard and I am slowly figuring it out. I am unsure if they have different templates. I just use Jamboard to paste PDF documents so each student has their own slide.
Q3: In the past few weeks I have been using Kami and Jamboard which are both digital whiteboards that I can use on Zoom to have my students write their thoughts and ideas on. They are engaging tools that students seem to really enjoy!

Q2: Right now, my mentor and I have one on one conference with students via Zoom to find out their interests, what they are reading, and what goals we need to set as a team for each student. #preservicelit
Q1: Keeping students engaged through online learning is such a powerful way to help them cope. My mentor teacher starts every day by asking students to tell something good that is happening in their lives. I can tell this is a great tool in order to raise morale.

A3: Allowing students to get into a routine of having at least 10-15 minutes a day for independent reading is essential as they begin to discover their love for reading. Personally, I like the idea of taking an extra 5 min to free write about their book afterwards. #preservicelit
A2: "The Kissing Hand" is a great read aloud story for students during these difficult times. It serves a proof that everything always works out in the end and that it's okay to be nervous. #preservicelit
A1: By providing a wide range of books and other forms of texts (online articles included), we can create a literate community that students can thrive in. #preservicelit
Shoutout to @DrKMcGee for bringing it to my attention that LeBron James had a children’s book published recently! Can’t wait to share this with my Kindergarteners for my Fall internship! #IPromise@KingJames @msbeautifique
@sophiaobrien @AffinitoLit Thank you both for you suggestions! @DrKMcGee has introduced both of those learning platforms but I will definitely look into using them this summer!
A4: I am currently teaching Pre-K, and my colleagues and I are building our summer curriculum. I would love to hear from anyone that has any suggestions on what online learning platforms I could add to my teaching toolbox and integrate into my lessons!

A3: Over the past couple of months we have been exposed to a plethora of online learning platforms, and we are all better educators because of it. This Summer/Fall will be our opportunity to showcase our growth and use our new technology skills in the classroom!
#Preservicelit
A2: Covid-19 has forced us to explore online learning platforms before we necessarily had to. As educators, we will be prepared to provide our students with quality instruction in the future if something like this does end up happening again. #Preservicelit
A1: Adapting to online learning was somewhat of a struggle in the beginning, but I feel that my technology skills have become stronger since we have been thrown into these unprecedented times. #Preservicelit
To our COVID-19 new teachers. Maybe you are excited, nervous, and perhaps a little intimidated, but you are and will be your child’s first and best teacher. WCPS parents-you can do this-we are here to adjust and help, so each of your children continue learning. #keepLearning
