Todayโs lesson was coloring the Flag of China. China is the biggest country on the continent of Asia. We are having fun learning about the Chinese culture and the new year next week :)
Todayโs lesson was Chopsticks Transfer. We are beginning to learn about Chinese New Year this week. Using chopsticks is challenging but fun. We will be reading books, learning about the flag and writing Chinese Numbers too. # Montessori #culture
Easel painting was our lesson today. Each month we have had a different art experience at the easel. Chalk, crayons, sparkle pencils, thick markers and tri-colored markers. Now we will be painting, first with one color and then adding more. #montessori#art
Hola friends! Todayโs Spanish lesson was the numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5. Itโs fun to count in Spanish! Next week we will continue counting. Soon we will be able to count all the children in our classroom :)
Todayโs lesson is one of our favorites! Sinks and Floats! This Science work, once presented, is always in use. From our youngest to the oldest students, all love this water experience. #montessori#science
Rhyming picture cards was todayโs lesson. These cards have pictures and the rhyming words as well. Even though many children may not be able to read the word, itโs important to expose them to the written word. #montessori#language
Todayโs lesson was another folding and gluing lesson. These art lessons require the child to follow a series of steps. Then they can color the work anyway they choose. This is an example of work that is both structured and creative. #montessori
Happy Monday! Our lesson today was the Geometric Sollids cards. Children can identify geometric shapes in everyday objects. A cone, sphere, ovoid, and cylinder for example, are easy to find :)
Hola friends! Our Spanish word today was abuelo. Abuelo is Spanish for grandfather. Grandmothers and grandfathers are important people in any language! #montessori#spanish
A Metal Inset lesson was presented today. It is the fourth lesson in the series. Now the children can color in the traced geometric shape. These lessons improve fine motor control and hand writing skills. Beautiful combinations can also be made.
Our lesson today was the Alphabet Fishing Game. We use a fishing bowl, magnetic pole, and paper fish with a letter on each. The children fish for a letter and match it to the alphabet mat. This lesson reinforces letter sounds and is fun to do with a friend.
Table Washing was todayโs lesson from the Practical Life area. All our children love this lesson. We follow a series of steps and the special mat shows us just what to do. Children enjoy caring for their classroom environment.
