Devastated to learn of the tragic loss of the Alberta Wildland firefighter who died serving the province in the Jasper area. Our heart goes out to the family and the 700 member fire-line crew for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the region.

We wanted to share the story of Veteran Lauralee Mills. Lauralee struggled after returning home from Afghanistan and was eventually diagnosed with PTSD. For her, the power of social connection helped her feel safe, supported and understood. #PTSDAwarenessDay

80 years ago today some 14,000 Canadians, including Russell Kaye, secured Juno Beach as part of the largest seaborne invasion in history. Total Allied casualties on D-Day reached more than 10,000, including 1,074 Canadians. We will remember them. 🇨🇦 🙏

The 2024 @wwrunbc wrapped up in Victoria this weekend, with many first responders and military service members on hand to welcome the runners across the finish line. Team Paramedic & Sayward Unit Chief Aggie Pringle supported the runners on their entire journey.
The team has completed their 8 day, 800 KM run and raised over $180,000! The mental health conversations and connections made were invaluable. Our thanks to all members of the Run team, their donors, and sponsors who make the event possible. We're already excited for next year!
Huge thank you @wwrunbc team for pushing through a gruelling 800km run down island in 8 days. Your passion and drive inspired caring people on VI to support this vital cause to treat and prevent operational stress injuries. @SaanichPolice are grateful for our partnership #yyj
