By hook or by crook, Alberta government is committed to give separatists an opportunity to vote for breaking up Canada.
Now it appears that the Premier wants to be the proponent of a separatism referendum, using the #ForeverCanadian question without First Nations consultation.
Despite polls showing that 61% of voters would choose another party, Ford would still win a majority and the unilateral power to reshape the province.
Proportional representation would mean an end to majority governments that lack majority support.
Danielle Smith is a separatist.
The UCP is a separatist party.
They are going to spend millions of public dollars to back the separatists and fight against the rights of Indigenous peoples.
By far the best explanation I've heard on this Gerrymandering attempt by the UCP. You can always count on David to be common sense and take his time to genuinely explain things. #ableg#abpoli
@HmGinYYCisBack She continues to lie that the Forever Canadian petition intended to request a referendum. It was always the intent to require a vote in the Alberta Legislature, not a referendum!
I get it. The Alberta health care procurement controversy can be super confusing. So here's a cheat-sheet, explaining who's who: https://t.co/pcUrpMv2S8 By @moirawyton and friends
“The separatist threat “opened our eyes to what’s going on,” Chief Allan Adam of Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation in Treaty 8 told The Breach. “It’s a white supremacist movement. I hate to say it that way, but there’s no other way to say it.” https://t.co/bRsxZLbbbX
For Alberta, For Canada is a movement for ALL Albertans.
We welcome anyone fighting against separatism and standing up for Canada.

@MikeHudema You'll have trouble persuading any rational person that some of these can be done "immediately". What we need is a science-and-fact-based plan for such a transition that even the many fossils amongst us can agree is workable.
@ABLabourToday I am among those who don't consider "championed and facilitated the construction of the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion" to be positive. It was based on false premises, including the Scotiabank claim of losing approximately $15.6 billion CAD annually.
Freedom of Information laws are vital for accountability.
Yet, first-past-the-post lets politicians without a broad mandate gut them when they become inconvenient.
Proportional representation protects these rules by ensuring they can't be changed without broad consensus.
Remember Danielle Smith placed a seven-month moratorium on new starts for all wind, solar and geothermal energy projects.
Smith's poor leadership affected 118 projects worth $33 billion to Albertans.
Placing 24,000 job-years of employment at risk.

This is an Alberta NDP movement parallel to but separate from the ForeverCanadian movement in opposition to the "Stay Free Alberta" movement to separate Alberta from Canada, but doesn't require membership in the ANDP to become involved.

"We demand that the federal government invest a total of $30 billion, over 5 years, to fund critical transmission linkages between the provinces and territories…"
350 Canada's petition will be delivered to policymakers on Monday.

Danielle Smith banned renewables. It chased billions of investment out of the province and cost thousands of jobs. And we’re still paying for it. Danielle Smith is causing an Alberta disadvantage. https://t.co/5e1toV5vQh
