From NWS Birmingham: We have confirmed that a female suffered symptoms consistent with a lightning strike in the Publix Parking lot in Alabaster this afternoon at about 1:48 PM. She was transported to a local hospital.

We observed two negatively-charged lightning strikes in the vicinity of Publix and Zaxby's that both occurred at 1:45 pm CDT. “
