☀️ The summer solstice arrived at 4:24 a.m. ET, marking the start of astronomical summer and the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
From winter to summer, daylight increases dramatically, by as much as 7 hours in parts of the northern U.S. 🌅
We will have reached our peak total amount of daylight hours (in Denver) today with 14hrs 59 min and 15 sec. Now the trend backwards begins. Aug. 1 will be the last 5am hour sunrise; Aug. 11 will be the last 8pm hr sunset. #cowx

@KyleClark current FCC law doesn't allow full power 4 stations to be owned in the same market, this deal would be KWGN, KUSA, KTVD and KDVR that rule should stay and the deal shouldn't be allowed. Just the same if KDVR/KWGN was being being bought by Tegna. Having the rule is good.

Tonight - August 11- marks Denver's final 8pm sunset for the year. Sunrises are moving later and sunsets are moving earlier as we head closer to equinox.
On September 1 Sunrise is 6:28am Sunset is 7:30pm

It's that time of year again: The days are getting shorter. 🌇
Places like New York, Boston, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Chicago will lose more than 60 minutes of daylight throughout the month of August.
June 8th starts peak sunrise time of 5:31am which lasts until June 19, June 20 the shrinking begins on sunrise.
June 29 is the last 8:32pm sunset , then that decline starts, as we drift back the other way on the way to fall

May 7 was Denver's first night where the sunset was at 8pm, it progresses incrementally later through the month. The sunrises also adjust earlier to start hit near 5:34am at the end of this month.
Almost 15 hours daylight this month.
