For years, Saudi Arabia has suffered from attacks by the extremist Houthi militia, while the international community and the United Nations have continued to engage with these terrorists as a de facto authority controlling parts of northern Yemen, holding diplomatic talks and mediation efforts aimed at ending the conflict. This has effectively granted them a seat at the negotiating table, without any formal recognition of their sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has been fighting this battle largely on its own, while consistently striving to safeguard global economic stability by maintaining high levels of oil exports, despite escalating attacks by Iran and the Houthis on maritime navigation.
Today, Saudi Arabia is facing direct attacks targeting its airports and threatening the lives of its civilians.
Shame on the international community for allowing these attacks to continue after years of repeated Saudi warnings about the dangers posed by this militia and its threats to regional security and stability.
