Just about every major model has caved to the ECMWF and shows some sort of development from the eastern Atlantic wave later next week in/around the Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, & SW Atlantic.

Not that surprised though, as the downstream environment has at least looked marginally favorable (or better) for a while now.

Good morning, a muggy start out there with temperatures in the 70s for most. Highs today only in the 80s. Expect widespread storm activity this afternoon into the evening, especially for the Eastern half of the Carolinas. Flash flooding possible again.
