"People are freaking out: "He cried, he screamed" When you're as generationally gifted as Caleb - you're not carrying a team, you're carrying a league. Emote!"
@colincowherd on the criticism of Caleb Williams getting emotional after his injury
i’d say like 99% of on-field injury related crying is purely the emotions and thoughts racing thru their head.
the adrenaline rushing, and in some cases shock, causes them to be essentially painless, until it wears off, which by then they’re already in the locker room
Nobody understands how much a guy like Caleb loves the game, his team and the city that calls him theirs. When you go down and you know you’re INJURED there is a certain intensity of emotion that hits you. All of your immediate goals and plans are derailed: that causes emotion.
Pat McAfee show just spending a very nice 6 minutes segment discrediting Dan Orlovsky is hilarious. Segment called "Bears situational Report" where they just show how much Caleb was in control of the offense and it wasn't 'bad defense more than Caleb'.
Week 1 of the NFL will consist of the following:
The Packers beat the vikings, lead by 4 TDs by Jordan Love.
The Bears get upset by Bryce Young and the Panthers revamped defense, the Bears defense lets up 30.
The Saints upset the Lions. A high scoring game ends with Goff throwing an INT to lose the game.
The Packers will be the only NFC North team with an undefeated record after week 1.
