Find a way to use your gifts and passions to serve others, and do it so well that people will pay you for it. The rest is noise.
For the minor sports. Schools are actually saving money not having spring sports. Track, softball, lacrosse, etc. all lose money.
By not having a season, Track teams, for example will save hundreds of thousands in travel expenses.
Put those savings into scholarships.
