@spencerpratt Strange. The Communist in China have no problem at all with their grid.
American Communist can't get it done.
Chinese Communist get it done.
Spot the difference?
@TatsunokoCroi@Babygravy9 Mate. UK recognised the One China policy in 1972. Taiwan thus didn't exist diplomatically in the UN or try he UK during the handover of 1997.
Realpolitik doesn't happen on a whim and a fancy.
@GearoidReidy Let me get this straight. When people who identify as attack helicopters demand to be addressed by ze/zir pronouns, western society acquiescence.
But when Asians ask to be referred in the manner their names are actually written, last name first, they are ignored?
Says a lot.
@JamesTate121 He will unfortunately not be remembered and his action will not make an iota of difference. Just like Aaron Bushnell
The american conscience and media is very good at suppressing inconvenient truths.
@macastel3 So, these container prices going up ... Are they because
1. Chinese port charges have gone up?
2. Destination port charges have gone up?
3. Actual sea carriage charges have gone up?
If sea freight has gone up, who runs those shipping lines? China?
@marcoangeli So WNBA is going the way of the NHL and allowing enforcers?
Colour me interested!
I was watching a fight the other day and a game of basketball broke out
@vonLichtenfeld@nxt888 The blokes who massacred people would have won 80% of the reunification votes in 1954.
Says a lot about how propagandists your world view is that what you claim flies in stark contrast with what was real.
Either that or US "democracy" really rewards oppressors seems more real
@dyw1968316 A politician taking offence from the spewings of the hoi polloi and letting it get in the way of them doing their job? How petulant and lame.
Or just simply a contrived excuse to save face knowing there won't be a request to meet, in which case, how lame.
@adamburns1994@mrjeffu The rising sun is highly symbolic and central to Japanese identity.
However, there are other historical variations of the Rising Sun incl 8-ray and 12-ray designs - see JSDF 8-ray design post 1954
That they continue to use the exact same 16-ray design from the IJA ...
@ZachDisco56901@historyinmemes Ah. western privilege at the fore.
Just like how you bullied the world in trade half a century ago and now cry mummy when the tables are turned.
If only you actually had the guts to take your lumps ya babies. Your president is an accurate representation of you all.
@CygnusNYC@AngelicaOung "Germany doesn't have any legal doctrine of free speech"
Article 5(1) of the constitution -
Every person shall have the right freely to express and disseminate his opinions in speech, writing, and pictures. There shall be no censorship.
@netsensor1@lovelycoys Understand the difference between an insignia and a flag.
Very desperate of Japanese to try to equate an insignia, like the Hinomaru, which no one is offended by = the Rising Sun flag, which is what we are offended by.

An aircraft insignia is not a flag.
An insignia is an official emblem used to indicate the orgnisation something is from.
See below roundels/insignia for various airforce. Not flags at all (some of them not even close).
Baka
@sonsarang3814 Germany continues to use the very same Iron Cross military flag today that it utilized during World War II!๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
You should stop singling out Japan as the sole villain and direct your blame toward Germany instead.๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
@ko22188@sonsarang3814 This is the comparative symbology that people are upset over ...
Also what people are upset over? Repeated denial and whitewashing by Japanese people who are let down by their education system that whitewashes what they did.
@ko22188@sonsarang3814 Please be honest - An insignia is NOT a flag.
The parallel to the Balkenkreuz is the Hinomarus.
See pic.
No one is complaining about the Hinomaru (Red Circle). What we are upset about is the Rising Sun flag which has been tarnished by the IJA in WW2.
@ko22188@lovelycoys Don't conflate symbology. The Iron Cross (Balkenkreuz) was an insignia NOT a flag.
See below on flags - the rallying point of all the atrocities commited by both countries. At least one country has the decency to distance themselves from that past while another glorifies it.
