@nullofmind Hii I really don’t want to sound rude, but a lot of the things you pointed out are shortcuts a lot of artists use to complete a piece. When I render, i also tend to scribble in details and leave certain parts flat coloured. It makes it more productive and also more harmonious.
@ItzRHSunflower@nullofmind Hi, not taking sides, but a skeb refers to a “surprise me” while a sketch refers to a rough draft of an artwork, she never mentioned it being a sketch. Here’s a visual using my own art (skeb vs sketch)
@oruaiz@_iidivina And lastly, adding onto my point, “speaking up” does not mean saying you support the gays. “speaking up” means boycotting brands, resisting the law and starting a movement. Much like the Arab Spring, where Mohamed Bouazizi set himself on fire after injustice in front of the law.
@oruaiz@_iidivina Our protests now are no longer as strong as they were before. LGBTQ individuals now buy from the very brands that kill them. That is why older riots have more impact, and if we keep thinking like this, eventually a riot will just be paper signs and sipping on Starbucks.
@oruaiz@_iidivina Stonewall riots - 1969 (resulted in homosexuality being removed from America’s list of mental disorders in 1973)
White Night Riots - 1979 (resulted in more LGBTQ individuals being involved in civic activities)
Sip in - 1966 (resulted in anti-gay liquor laws being lifted)
This is what we mean by they prioritise profit. The Brazilian summer update will attract players, increasing revenue. Speaking up about pride will drive away certain religious communities, temporarily decreasing revenue. Wake up omg.
The DTI pride update is not being clowned on because the items are horrendous and tacky (even though the dress is pretty tacky). It’s being clowned on because rather than speaking up about what matters, they’d rather recreate Brazil.
