Alimony is ok when the woman has been expected to not work or work part time to care for the children or for religious reasons etc that the man may have enforced. Where he has benefitted from her and he was able to gain at a job in ways she couldn’t due to the limited types of jobs she was allowed. Of course time spent doing that is factored in also.
