@StrangeAttract5 I went from “huh, you sure do bruise easily and you’re weirdly flexible for someone with fibro” to “huh, if I’m going to play guitar while leading the service tonight I’m gonna need ring splints and uh maybe I have EDS?” literally overnight.
*whispers* Also I have a confession to make: fleece-lined Crocs are so comfy that I don’t even care how ugly they are.
(I know some of my friends are giving me horrified stares right now but LOOK IT GETS REALLY COLD HERE OKAY)
Exciting perks of adulthood:
1. Busy! Busy all the time! What are you even doing? You don't know!
2. Very tired.
3. Some kinda stomach ache???
4. Definitely sad about something.
5. Bills! Bills all the time! What are you even paying for? You don't know!
@jaythenerdkid I have absolutely no opinion about other people’s bodies; it’s none of my business. You be you! I’ll be me! We ALL deserve cute dresses with pockets!
(Well, if you’re a person who likes dresses. Not everybody does, and that’s cool too.)
@jaythenerdkid Losing weight got me down to maybe 1 or 2 dislocations a week. That’s a big victory for me, personally, in the same way that getting my PTSD down to 1 or 2 flashbacks a week was a victory. But I can’t talk about it without being told I’m glorifying dieting & societal norms.
@jaythenerdkid At the same time there needs to be room for EVERYBODY to own their personal experience. I was in a lot of physical pain when I was a size 20; I have EDS & my knees & ankles were dislocating on a daily basis. That was… very not fun, especially as a single parent of a small child.
