@JasonBotterill@CommanthaBiden i just played taylor swift music on my guitar until my fingers became blistered and bloody would this be okay behaviour in the house?
@gssp_acc yes to all of this ๐ฅน
you know i thought of you when i had started thinking of all of this because of all your talk of open/acc
but i never suspected you would already be so into this particular topic yourself i am so happy ๐ฅน
i have a friend who is signed to zenon records and spends 100% of his time at home doing psychedelics and making some of the best prog psy iโve ever heard, apart from the occasional fly out to play at a festival
once or twice a week i just get hours of voice messages and videos of him commentating while he watches various movies on acid and i usually listen to every single one of them in real time and we ruminate about the universe
it almost feels like trip sitting through the phone
then the next day he will send me clips of some of the most insane music i have ever heard that he makes from the inspiration
i canโt help but be jealous of the lifestyle but im also in awe of his talent and love that our musings can help inspire some of the work
stop it trash2 is my actually favourite plugin ๐น
iโve just been playing around with making clones of my favorite plugins but also just playing around with this idea:
https://t.co/T6gR86aZg0
with a large collection of great free and open source plugins something like this is very possible.
imagine never having to worry about what DAW you use or what plugins when you want to collab with someone or share a project
everything can just be packaged up and ran in like an environment
all DAW should function as like an IDE.
they should build the environment/project from the folders and source files
vst install requirements.txt
from abletonsamples import instruments: drums/707, synths/synth1,synth2
all non packaged samples added to repository as assets
importing to DAW builds the project and exporting makes build files
