#WATCH | Berlin, Germany: Following several days of festivities, the Sri Ganesha Temple in Berlin’s Neukölln opened on Sunday. Located on the edge of the Hasenheide park, the seventeen-meter-high tower—adorned with hundreds of sculptures and reliefs—is recognizable as part of a recognisableHindu temple even from a distance.

India's fertility rate has fallen below replacement levels — and this didn't happen overnight.
This is a culmination of a lot of factors, but the most important among them is the uncertain modern world and the rising lifestyle cost.
Every 2–3 years, something happens that shakes the entire world — and it is the younger generation, the reproductive generation, that gets hit the hardest. COVID-19 in 2020, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the Hormuz crisis now — the disruptions keep coming, and the window for stability keeps shrinking.
Additionally, Indian cities are the ones where most of India's employed population lives, and these have become unlivable due to skyrocketing inflation, severe pollution, and rising social isolation.
So, you see, it's never one thing; it is a result of deeper fragmentation of society in the modern world.
A Gurgaon man earns ₹40 lakh a year, drives a BMW, lives comfortably, and still says he feels poor.
This is the real modern poverty. Not lack of money. Lack of contentment. A person can be in the top 1% of earners and still feel like a failure because comparison has become a full-time job.
Earlier, people used to compare themselves with their neighbours. But now they are comparing themselves to startup founders, influencers, and people showing their best 1% moments online every day. The target keeps moving, so satisfaction never arrives.
This is exactly what social media has done to an entire generation.
The richest people today are the ones who can sleep peacefully without needing validation from strangers on the internet.
