Having never played a Far Cry game I know I'm going to get stick for this. FC5 on sale and I thought why not. Got to tell you, I'm having a blast. It's a cool mix of GTA/red dead and something else all together. The story is cool too, gotta admit. #farcry5#Ubisoft
@haleyfax I played it and completed it. I don't think it's toxic, misogynistic, low IQ or anything else. I think for some it may be immersion breaking or something. Good narrative helps but as a little boy I imagine the character as myself. Sometimes that's harder if you can't choose it
break immersion for some people and I get that. Narrative heavy games get away with it as you get pulled into the story. But I understand wanting to play a game and feel like it's you.
It's not woke to think and feel this, it just isn't.
I liked AC games for the choice.
'do I have to play as a girl?'
being absolutely ripped to shreds as a question. Ghost of Yotei looks good, but I still think it's a valid question, I honestly do. It's not woke nonsense, it's not sexist, it's not toxic masculinity or low IQ. Playing as a girl might....
@mrpyo1 Me too! But my wallet would feel the chainsword more than the Tyranids.
The cost of gaming is wild these days.
I guess it's more of an issue of late when the games just don't deliver like they used.
stunning, fun even for the first while. But if you have any sense of completion in you, you get bogged down in trying to do everything on the map and the game becomes a checklist before you know it. When a gameplay loop is revealed so openly like that think the walls..
Is everyone else pre ordering or buying on drop? Or are we learning our lessons here. SM2 might actually be a bad example but star wars outlaws isn't.
I'll be playing Ghosts of Tsushima for now and allowing myself to take it slow and enjoy it properly. Gaming should be fun.
Casual gaming keeping me going but not keeping sharp...
I recently fired up my ps5, it had been awhile. Not a lot getting me excited to play. No less the price tag of new games. I'm looking at you space marine 2 ultimate edition at nearly Β£96 π€£
I will buy this game. But...
point is, the new flashy game that comes each month is definitely alluring. I want to know what it feels like to gut a Tyranid but I also know how my bank balance is going to feel that chainsword also.
Patience tells me I'll pick it up on sale in a few months anyway.
of Valhalla and odyssey can't be denied but the depth loses you fairly easily.
Again, is this a me thing, an age thing, a life responsibility thing? Or has it all changed too much away from what was actually fun.
#gaming#ageing
Are games made the same or is age a factor to our enjoyment of them?
From a 30 something dad gamer...
I remember days and nights lost to games. Just one more... Get that next level, that next item. That next upgrade and I'll sleep.
I'm not saying that was healthy behaviour..
trying on my part.
Baldurs gate got me hooked and it seemed an exception amongst a sea of games that were good for the initial part but never had me sailing on there waves for longer than a week or so. Anything from Ubisoft(yes I know, there's issues) with it's beautiful worlds
