@AcemagicJapan The focus here is SteamOS, not competing with a Steam Machine directly. If you've got compatible AMD hardware, SteamOS can turn it into a smooth, console like gaming experience with surprisingly little effort.
Built my #SteamMachine with an @AcemagicJapan W1 on SteamOS 3.8.xx
Specs:
• Ryzen 7 8745HS
• Radeon 780M
• 32GB DDR5
• 1TB NVMe SSD
Mainly for fighting games, STGs, and adventure games. Loving the console-like experience. Just power on and play, no mouse or keyboard needed.
@RoyalRooterSox@AcemagicJapan It's an APU architecture, which is why it performs as well as it does with what it can. It's definitely not as powerful as a steam machine, but more powerful than a steam deck. It is half the price and fits specific use cases. I wouldn't run AAA games on this thing.
@kevinsaid1@AcemagicJapan it runs my games perfectly at 1080p without breaking a sweat. It’s not quite as powerful as the new Steam Machine, but more powerful than a steam deck.
@SP33DYBARON@Wario64 Wrong. I exactly want to be able to piece together my hardware tastefully and use it in the living room with steamOS. I could easily build something of the same size or smaller, more powerful or equal, at any price point I want.
