I've read just about every book there is about the 1930's and the prelude to the Second World War. I still found it hard to understand how we'd allowed ourselves to let appeasement of Hitler dictate our policy. Watching people in the UK still trying to defend and legitimise Trump and attack Zelensky after what we saw yesterday makes me finally understand. There were traitors in our midst then.
