“So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing GTA 6.”

June/July — Trailer 3
• Start of the summer push, focusing on Leonida, world density, and characters.
• Pre-orders officially open for all platforms alongside the trailer.
August — Gameplay
• First narrated gameplay deep dive focusing on world mechanics and interaction.
• Similar presentation style to the RDR 2 gameplay series.
September — GTA 6 Online & Music
• First official details on the evolution of GTA Online and the new engine.
• Reveal of radio station partners and the Vice City soundtrack.
October — Previews & Special Editions
• Hands-on impressions from major outlets like IGN and Digital Foundry.
• Special Edition contents revealed, likely including the physical map.
November — Final push & launch
• Launch trailer released mid-month.

In a new interview, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick gives a clear signal that November 19 is locked in for GTA 6:
- He says marketing is planned for summer, and the company doesn’t spend money on it unless they’re confident that the game is really close to release
- He agrees it’s the greatest entertainment product of all time
- The game’s progress is tracked daily
- The awareness and anticipation are huge, but they need to create energy with marketing
- The marketing needs to be authentic to consumers, be delicate and feel real
- Console sales will be energized by the game’s launch
