Great start to the game. Gameplay is very fun and the foundation is great. But bugs and performance were not the best. But those can be fixed with time. What is important is the fun factor in the gameplay which is definitely very fun.

Thanks to all the players who have joined us in Haddonfield so far during our Early Access launch for Halloween: The Game.

Earlier today, our team deployed fixes for singleplayer challenges and VOIP and continues to monitor player feedback.

Later tomorrow, we'll be pushing an update that introduces additional fixes for various crashes, an issue preventing Michael's downed minigame from displaying as intended, and game resolution not displaying correctly on Xbox Series S while in Performance Mode.

Players can also look forward to our Day One Patch on 9/8/2026, which will bring further fixes and improvements. We're just getting started.

To increase their odds of survival against the unrelenting Boogeyman, Civilian characters can roll for Perk Cards to craft their very own Perk Decks.

These Perk Cards can then be rolled in-game to provide beneficial modifiers that ensure no two matches of Halloween: The Game play out the same.

Each Civilian carries a series of unique stats, including Athleticism, Personality, Resourcefulness, and Capability, as well as signature Traits, which provide a variety of opportunities to find the perfect character for your preferred playstyle.

A statement regarding Halloween: The Game on PS5 in Japan:

Halloween: The Game will release in Japan as scheduled on Wednesday, September 9, on XBOX and PC. Unfortunately, our rating for PlayStation has been cancelled in Japan due to our inability to obtain a domestic rating from CERO (Computer Entertainment Rating Organization) for the title's visceral violence and nudity.

We have determined that regulating the content to achieve compliance would significantly compromise the worldview of the original film, and would also prevent us from providing the gameplay experience that players expect.

Refunds are scheduled to be processed by the platform for players who pre-ordered the PS5 version. Please direct any inquiries regarding those details to the platform. Digital versions of Halloween: The Game will still be available on Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store and will be released in Japan on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
