@MorganaDays drowning (he was going to kill Henry) did he back off and start warming up to Henry in conversations afterwards. He COULD have turned soft after living with Ellie in New Jackson but I disagree with it. His death IMO purely done for shock death scene and gender/gay switch. (2/2)

@MorganaDays Henry was different, there was build-up, and only b/c of Ellie. She basically convinced him to take Henry's help. And he didn't like the fact Ellie told them her name. Joel was cautious in their initial conversation and only after Ellie told him that he saved them both from (1/2)
