Showing empathy isn't idiotic, what he said is a word, I get it offends people I really do, but the experience of being threatened is horrible and I know that from my own experience, and at least he has acknowledged he did wrong and has said he will do better, which is all he can do.

Well I dont know about anyone else, but I wasn't waiting because he has clout, I simply wanted to see the full story and to see what he had to say about it, considering there was threatening involved, allegedly. That meant it wasn't as simple as just saying it for the sake of it.
