TFT is the best designed game of all time.

People are always so surprised when I say this. It’s not a game I’ve talked about or topped leaderboards for after all.

But truly, what other game is:

- Free to play yet high revenue
- Competitive enough for esports
- Non-toxic community
- Balanced (all things considered)
- S tier art, visuals, and lore
- Skill based with luck for dopamine

League/ Valorant is toxic. Clash Royale is not true F2P. CSGO looks like dogshit. Minecraft/ Roblox are solid contenders but loses on lore and esports.

The game that comes closest to TFT in terms of game design excellence is unironically Fortnite.

At my age, my closest friends are folks I've been friends with 10, 20, or in at least one case, 35 years. Long time friends.

Life gets busy though, and I only talk to these close friends like 1-6 times a year. But when I do, it's so nice. We can talk for hours catching up, and it just feels like old times. Instantly back into our rapport.

Got to catch up with my engineering buddy from Nintendo, and my longest friend from elementary school this week, and it was nice. Getting caught up on each others lives.

Good times. Make sure you retain a couple close friends as you get older no matter what's going on in your life.
