Ditto'd. GTA6 is unique given the colossal amount of hype and expectation, but the amount that Rockstar is doing while asking so much from consumers such as giving up their right to own the game is in unforgivable to me. Sucks more knowing the game is likely really good.

I miss when games weren't announced until the dev cycle was nearly finished. It used to be normal that games would be finished months before release, and the extra time was used to polish, play test, and fix bugs out of respect for customers/themselves as industry professionals.

Listen, if I'm to believe anyone about this situation, it's probably Cyberleek. I am incredibly biased, and I know this information itself could be a lie, but I trust a leaker who is single-handedly causing an insane amount of chaos than Rockstar.

Cyberleek shared a new message in the latest GTA 6 clip, claiming the build they have is recent:

“This build is actually recent and the game is not ready at all.
Sony and Rockstar are killing your right to own and resell your games and Rockstar is killing their own employees too, the work required to reach gold is way too much for so little time left. Trading volume/price is how CL measures your support. CL will not continue without support. You decide.”

What Cyberleek is saying here doesn’t make sense and he could be lying, as Rockstar just confirmed in today’s statement that the game is almost finished:

“We are very sorry that everything has taken as long as it has - from getting the game finished (nearly there!)”

I don't fuck with Rockstar and I hope Cyberleek releases the game for free on PC. Digital only games, especially ones that cost $100 is fucking stupid and anti-consumer. I know Rockstar has the chops to make something amazing but the way they limit things is absolute bullshit.

If there's a single occasion where a game should be done by now and just waiting to be released for maximum gain like around Black Friday, GTA6 is that very game.

The game should be pretty finished given even Cyberleek apparently beat the game already.

If I remember right, yeah, I think Marcus is canonically the reason why lasers aren't on Pandora. But it's also just a joke in a loading screen prompt

I understand, and I don't mind the game being a bit easier either. It's just that one of my criticisms of TPS is how much lasers trivialized the game by taking up most of the variety and firepower that I actually needed.

@xSL4MMZx I think your looking at this from the wrong perspective. At the end of the day this is a mod. Theres plenty of overhaul mods. They all make bl2 easier. This will be no different. This won’t become some permanent main stay for how bl2 is played forever. Itll be another amazing mod

But also, a lot of other weapons outside of the lasers in TPS weren't very remarkable in comparison. The best legendaries in TPS are almost all exclusively in the Claptastic Voyage DLC for instance

I mainly worry about lasers in 2 as an idea because they can easily replace most other weapons with ease. A weapon type that's always elemental, has a special effect depending on who made it, and a lot of ammo to boot is hard to reign control of

@xSL4MMZx I think that’s partially point of the mod though, tps in general is an easier game AND the characters seem like they’re more powerful, so adding lasers seems fine considering bl2 is a harder game.

Think the best thing to do would be to keep things as 1 to 1 as possible
