In MW4 Apex attachments are a new feature that unlocks after reaching max level on a weapon.
It doesnt take up an attachment slot.

Apex attachments revealed
- Laser Guided Underbarrel Rocket
- Underbarrel Jammer
- Pistol with a 12 gauge shotgun extra barrel
- Sniper with 3 throwing knives equipped.
- Tracking bullets that show the enimies position behind walls on a screen under the scope
- a suppressor that turns an smg into the most quiet weapon ever made in cod and conceals your position (no directional shots given to the enemy)
- Cowboy quick fire thing (idk what its called)

Throwing Knives on a gun? Actually sounds like a really interesting concept. MW4 could shape up to be really good for knifing. Need way more info and gameplay first obviously but still...

New to Modern Warfare 4:
Apex Attachments

28 Unique attachments that drastically change how a gun works.
Examples:
-Laser guided rocket attachment for a fully auto gun
-Special ammo type that allows you to track enemies even when they get behind cover
-"Mega suppressors" (best way I can describe it)
-Bolt actions sniper gets throwing knifes on the side of the gun for rapid deployment
-Strobe light on the shotgun....
-Revolver can be fan fired from the hip for much faster fire rate
and more!

Very similar to aftermarket parts/prestige attachments where it is unique to its own gun and makes it perform wildly different than the default version.
