@LudwigAhgren@AlexSchrags16 Scenes of the players drinking water… nothing exciting but more exciting than ads. If they tried to put ads on in the UK there’d be a riot
@LBC Henry Nowak’s death is a result of Police reform after the death of George Floyd. Police are now too scared to be seen as racist against minorities, so they unconsciously side with them. These two cases are not the same. One is a cause of the other. It’s pretty simple
Have you ever asked yourself why Sikhs carry Kirpan knives in the first place??
You might think it’s just a symbol like how a Christian wears the cross around their neck… nope!
In the 17th century, during the time of Guru Gobind Singh, Sikhs were ordered to carry it in order to:
defend themselves
protect the weak and the oppressed
fight injustice
remind themselves of their moral duty to intervene when someone is in danger.
The kirpan is primarily used as a defensive weapon!
And what’s even more insane is, not only does UK law let Sikhs carry it for “religious reasons,” but in an “urgent” situation, they can use it in self-defence under the same rules — except they started armed while you didn’t.
Britain is not 1690s Punjab. We’re a civilised country that disarmed its people over a century ago. If you want to live here, do the same.
@calvinrobinson We should at least be allowed to carry a defensive weapon, seeing as that's what the Kirpan is. Otherwise if I ever need to defend myself against a Sikh in the UK he "lawfully" starts with the upper hand. Hence the death of Henry Nowak.

If you like me thought it was just a symbol like how a Christian wears the cross around their neck… you'd be wrong!

So.. the kirpan is primarily used as a defensive weapon!?

Britain is not 1690s Punjab. We’re a civilised country that disarmed its people over a century ago. If people want to live here, surely they should be willing to do the same, whatever your religion.
You have a platform. Please make sure the general public understand that this, because I don't think they're aware that the Kirpan has and always will be a defensive weapon, NOT A SYMBOL. And that it can be used in self defense, when for the rest of us, it's actually illegal to equip ourselves in advance.
It's time to end the two-tier knife laws!
Enough with the multicultural exceptions that put British safety last.

The UK population need to know the real reason Sikhs carry Kirpans!
And they should be OUTRAGED!!!
In Britain, it’s illegal for you or me to carry a knife for self-defence. Self-defence is not a good reason. Pre-equip yourself and you’re nicked. That’s the law for native Brits.
But not for Sikhs.
Initiated Sikhs must carry the kirpan — a real blade — because their 17th-century Guru Gobind Singh ordered it. It was ordered for self-defence, protecting the “oppressed,” and fighting injustice. Not some harmless symbol like a cross. They equip themselves in advance for exactly what the rest of us are banned from doing.
UK law lets them carry it for “religious reasons.” Then in a “urgent” situation, they can use it in self-defence under the same rules — except they started armed while you didn’t. Two-tier justice in plain sight.
This is madness. Britain is not 1690s Punjab. We’re a civilised country that disarms its own people. We demand no special religious rights to carry blades the rest of us can’t.
One rule for all.
Scrap the exemption and enough with the multicultural exceptions that put British safety last.

The public needs to know the real reason Sikhs carry knives. It’s not symbolic; it’s for self-defence, just as their Guru instructed.
Time to end the two-tier knife laws.
