🚨 SHOTS FIRED OUTSIDE SECURITY COMPANY’S TORONTO HEADQUARTERS

Toronto Police were called to INKAS Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing near Weston Road and Finch Avenue West shortly before 2 a.m. on July 28 after reports of gunfire.

Police reportedly found damage to the business and evidence that a firearm had been discharged. No injuries had been confirmed when the initial report was published, and the motive remains unknown as investigators work to identify whoever was responsible.

This incident comes amid broader concerns about firearm violence and organized criminal activity across Toronto. The city recorded approximately 85 homicides in 2024, up from 73 in 2023, while Toronto Police continue to investigate firearm discharges through their public safety dashboard.

Police have also recently investigated suspected gun-for-hire networks, in which young people were allegedly recruited through encrypted messaging platforms to carry out targeted attacks. Those allegations involve separate cases, and police have not publicly connected them to the INKAS incident.

⚠️ Residents and legitimate businesses should not have to accept repeated firearm attacks as normal.

Toronto needs a serious public-safety strategy focused on:

✅ Disrupting organized criminal networks
✅ Stopping firearm smuggling and trafficking
✅ Meaningful consequences for repeat violent offenders
✅ Better intelligence and investigative resources
✅ Prevention programs that keep young people away from criminal recruitment

Authorities have not announced an arrest or confirmed a motive in the INKAS investigation. Anyone with relevant footage or information should contact Toronto Police or Crime Stoppers.

And these activity records are being created and shared and collected and intercepted constantly by companies and governments.

And ultimately, it means as they sell these, as they trade these, as they make their businesses on the backs of these records, what they are selling is not information.

What they are selling is us.

They're selling our future.

They're selling our past.

They are selling our history, our identity.

They are stealing our power and making our stories work for them.
