The message is cover up because men can’t control themselves. It’s the same logic used for decades to excuse harassment. Blame the child’s body, not the adult making the choice. The government is sexualising children and blaming them before they even understand what’s happening.
@nahudhafaiz Your courage and honesty are powerful. They want to use shame to quiet you, but instead you’re turning it into truth and change. In a society that silences mental health struggles, your voice shows others they’re not alone Sending you solidarity. keep going, we need you. ♥️
grew up watching my mom alongside sakeenahthah in the streets, protesting for our rights.
now years later, I’m in the streets and sakeenahthah is still there. i don’t think these pnc puppets will ever be able to grasp the weight of that. it takes an incredible mental toll on someone to realize just how backtracked we are as a nation, how heartbreaking the reality is.
@rashumeeh4@Meeshyeah This isn’t about acting rich! it’s about expecting authenticity for what we do pay. Whether it’s MVR 50 or 500, people deserve not to be scammed. Oh, and don’t call me poor. The state of the nation shouldn’t dictate what I can put in my hair. Ugh.
@aish1078 I clearly said in my post that Repute used Nada Salon’s name. Others have now shared they were told the same. My post didn’t tarnish Nada it exposed how her name is being misused. Sadly, this shows how easily some businesses in Maldives operate without accountability.
Nada Salon does not supply products to Repute. I’ve verified it. Nada sells only authentic items with valid QR codes. Repute just name-drops Nada whenever someone calls out a fake, then acts surprised and promises to “remove it from shelves.” Every time.
Please help share this.
This is not the first time Repute has been exposed, but clearly they are still deliberately selling the fake products and need to be held accountable! This is not right!
@Downfall24_7@Meeshyeah That’s a different issue. What we’re talking about here is Repute knowingly selling counterfeit products and falsely claiming they came from Nada Salon. Regardless of the lawsuits, selling fakes while pretending they’re authentic is a serious issue
@vommarz @Meeshyeah I’ve used the original for 6+ months with zero issues. The problems only started after using the fake one from Repute. What they’re selling is not authentic and they know it. They also didn’t get it from Nada Salon. That claim is a complete lie.
And before someone comments on women don’t contest and it’s just a representation of the social realities, let me tell you something. That social reality is what needs changing. Those barriers that don’t seem like barriers to men, but are huge social obstacles to women.
Among many things, as a women, survivor, political science student, political strategic researcher, a junior policy executive and most of all, human, I only want to instigate a more stable change in our lives and one must use their voice, if they have one, on behalf of those who dont; the marginalized and the vulnerable.
Know that I wanted to reach a huge audience and I had to choose a platform and a team I aligned with and saw best fit for what I envision for us and I chose @TheDemocratsMV just as they chose to take me in with open arms. If you choose another platform, political or not, it too is fine, as long as the end goal is same, we must be able to work together. Not backlash.
Come what may, I will bear both sides of the coin and reach for our visions, for all of us!
Thank you all once again!
I am amazed by the emergent behavior, community cohesion, and resilience in responding to this island level emergency. More intrigued by the women led ingenuity of a "bucket brigade," utilizing a very primitive method of firefighting.
