@Squigg This screams like a psyopp... Birthright citizenship hearing gets shot down, then all of the sudden these billboards seeking to exploit that are popping up. It feels too convenient, stinks of something rotten
@JohnnyGaming9 Reading these comments show me how naive people are. They haven't taken games away yet because they're trying to set up their consumers so they can. They already set the precedent by removing 500 tv shows/movies out of people's library that they paid for, no refunds.
@Luzianos_@ShakezulaDaRula@Zoroarts@Steam Steam does have a system to stop people from refunding for dumb reasons, but unfortunately people have to refund like this in order to get flagged.
@Luzianos_@ShakezulaDaRula@Zoroarts@Steam Depends on the price I guess, if the game is dirt cheap, they can have their money. If we're charging $20 or more for a 2 hour experience, I'm gonna feel ripped off. However if it's like $5, yeah I probably would rather not have my game dragged out and be shit in this case.

This was a fully digital game on the Xbox 360, in 2026 you cannot download it even if you purchased it. This is the case for many XBLIG games. Now no one expects indie developers to sell physical copies, BUT this is basically what can happen to ANY game you don't own physically.
@NizzleJizle@SilentHillDude1 False bans happen, but aside from that, Sony has already removed certain movies and TV shows from User's libraries, stuff they purchased. There's absolutely nothing stopping that from happening to your games.
@takeme2hobbiton However if the devs AND leadership are truly passionate about their game, you get some really amazing games. Larian is one of the studios that understands this, maybe Rockstar too, but I'm reluctant to give that to them because of their own business practices I think are scummy
@takeme2hobbiton The worst thing about modern gaming today is how it's monetized, especially on the live service side of things. Everything has a battle pass, a deluxe and ultimate edition, FOMO fueled macro transactions. In that way gaming has gotten worse
